The Client
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) was established on March 15, 1989, succeeding the Veterans Administration. It is responsible for providing federal benefits to veterans and their families. Headed by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, VA is the second-largest of the Cabinet departments and operates nationwide programs for health care, financial assistance and burial benefits.
Business Need
VA encounters hundreds of patients who were voluntarily involved in USA military. It was quite difficult for them to manage these walk-ins patients information and giving them appropriate treatment.
VA wanted to develop a system that would provide a clinical assessment report which is not just informative but experiential in terms of alerts and notification.
Solution
Definitics team members came up with an innovative way out for this challenge at VA.
We developed a tablet based mobile app to gather all the walk-ins patients’ information either online or offline.
This application not only helps Doctors/Clinicians to take assessment of the patients and recommend them a better line of treatment but it also gives them appropriate alerts and notifications to avoid future in consequence’s like suicide, prolonged mental illness.
This solution proved itself to be pure benefit for VA and their patients which actually saved many lives in short span of time.
It also helped VA in reducing huge operational and resources cost and giving them real-time patients data with 100% accuracy.
